FIBROMYALGIA AND YOUR THYROID GLANDS

A Fibromyalgia diagnosis describes a situation of chronic pain in the spine and muscles. Pain and pressure is felt in one’s joints, and tendons as well. Many times, accompanying these symptoms is fatigue, panic and severe headaches and almost always, there are sleep problems.

In the past, Fibromyalgia was treated as the source being an emotional state, where extreme cases were even sent to psychiatric hospitals. This due to conventional medicines extreme limitations in treating the symptoms that interfered with cognitive function and/or a balanced emotional state.

Conventional medicine has adopted an approach that primarily deals with symptoms and misses treating the roots of Fibromyalgia.

The complexities of the Fibromyalgia Syndrome that interferes with daily life, make it very difficult to identify and explain their direct connection to a particular disease or pathological determination. So often, medication prescribed for infection of a tendon or joint, are not helpful, as there is no infection. Yet, there is pain.

Similarly, issues of the heart and respiratory system cannot be connected decisively to the symptoms, and the proper medication remains unknown. The Common solutions provided; tranquilizers, sleeping pills and the like, are disruptive to daily life functioning and lower the quality of living.

In recent years, MRI tests of the Central Nervous System, performed on Fibromyalgia patients, have shown clearly identified patterns, revealing that in many cases, irregularities in the Thyroid Glands are a significant major cause.

Today, it is common knowledge studies have proven beyond doubt that the connection between the symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Thyroid performance can be treated and complete recovery can be obtained in part with hormonal therapy treatment.
